Please note that Artable refers out all of our weekly classes to local teachers. We specialise in 1 day WEEKEND WORKSHOPS for beginners in all mediums to give you the tools to get started in art or to gain some confidence before committing to a weekly class.
The description below applies to our weekend LEARN TO PAINT workshops.
We guarantee that everyone can learn to paint and draw with the right teaching and the right tools. Most of the people that join us have always wanted to start getting creative (or return back to it after a long absence) and learn to paint, but were not sure that they could actually do it. This is a good class for those who have put down the brushes and want to get started again. Once you have moved through the first 'learner' image to learn our step to step process, you can choose to work through suggested images or pick your own image to work from.
We use the age-old method of artists teaching and sharing their skills with other artists and keep our classes small to maximise one to one tuition. This class will take you through the basics step by step as you learn:
- Where to start painting
- What materials to use
- How to mix the colours you see
- What you need to be focusing on when painting realistically
