In this 2-day workshop we'll explore the beautiful landscapes and seascapes of Australia, with each painting helping you gain confidence while keeping your brushwork loose and expressive.

RQAS, The workshop is held upstairs but there is a lift if you have mobility issues.

We’ll start with short exercises to warm up, then complete four paintings: two landscapes and two seascapes, each looking at different challenges.

You’ll learn to design strong compositions, create mood through skies and atmosphere, and capture light at different times of day.

Along the way, we’ll apply core watercolour techniques: wet-in-wet for skies and soft transitions, dry brush for texture and detail, and developing a looser, more energetic style that brings your work to life.

There are several options in walking distance and a fridge on site if you'd prefer to bring your own.

PARKING
You can park in the surrounding streets or in the carpark behind the venue. Please allow time for parking as it is very busy around RQAS at the moment. There is an elevator if you need it.

From time to time, we have to cancel workshops for reasons well outside of our control. We try very hard to limit this. Artable will give you a confirmation 21 days in advance.
