Rachael is the author of Pattern Pulse, an Australian guide to a range of artists working in the field of creating art designed to be turned into products. Her own designs have been picked up by a range of well known brands including Spotlight and Spoonflower. We have designed this workshop for you to spend time creating a range of fun watercolour designs on paper and then working one on one with Rachel to get them print ready before uploading and choosing the products you would like them turned into.
*Please note that the products are ordered online and delivered to you after the workshop - you will need to pay for the products that you order in addition to our workshop fee.
Rachael starts your learning experience by guiding you through a range of watercolour painting exercises in her signature style of loose colourful motifs. She will discuss which kinds of designs work best for a repeat pattern and help you to choose the best ones to move to product. Rachael is a wealth of information when it comes to the Australian design industry and can answer any questions you might have around getting started.
After finishing a number of works over the 2 days, Rachael will take you step by step though the process of getting your artwork print ready for a surface such as giftware. This process is done on the computer and orders placed are paid by you at the time of ordering. Delivery times are outside of our control, but we will try to help you to get items in time for Christmas.
