Watercolour Seascapes and Landscapes - 2 Days NOV with Joe Cartwright

We are bringing Joe Cartwright to the Gold Coast from Melbourne! An Australian watercolour artist who is known for his amazing watercolour paintings of landscapes, seascapes, cityscape and boat paintings. He has done a series of Venice paintings, Australian landscape paintings and street scenes. Joe’s watercolour paintings are rich with a serene flow and natural beauty.

Th is 2 day workshop will be full of practical advice and techniques. Joe's aim is to simplify watercolour painting to assist you in your personal adventure with this wonderful medium. A wide range of topics including brush and water control, timing, perspective, figures, tones and color mixing will be covered. Daily step-by-step demonstrations will allow us to cover and paint both the seascape and the landscape.

Meet the Teach

Joe Cartwright

I am an Australian watercolour (watercolor) artist, though I also work with other mediums such as Pen and Ink and Pastel.

I have been painting with watercolour for over twenty years and am more passionate about it now than ever. Watercolours when done well are hard to beat. They have a fluid, spontaneous quality speaking of confidence, skill and a clear message of what the artist wanted to say.

While primarily self taught, over the years I have had the pleasure of studying under some wonderful tutors at workshops I have attended, three of these artists include Joseph Zbukvic, Greg Allen and Alvaro Castagnet.
